The Mineral Products Association Northern Ireland (MPANI) is Northern Ireland’s top trade association for the quarrying industry.
Formerly known as Quarry Products Association Northern Ireland (QPANI)
We are part of the award-winning Mineral Products Association, representing our members’ interests on policy, planning and technical matters with government departments, local authorities, professional trade bodies and other key audiences at European, national and local levels.
In Northern Ireland our members produce more than 90% of aggregates extracted – sand and gravel and crushed rock as well as non aggregate minerals such as agricultural and industrial lime including limestone, clay and shale for cement. This includes:
- Aggregates production 95%
- Asphalt and bitmac 95%
- Ready mixed concrete 95%
- Concrete products manufactured 90%
